San Diego events 2026 to 2027: where to stay
The big events coming to San Diego over the next year, and how Crown Point Jewell, a family beach house on Mission Bay, fits each one. Most are at the San Diego Convention Center downtown, a short drive from the house.

Getting downtown from the house
The San Diego Convention Center is downtown, a short drive south of Crown Point. On big event days the roads and garages near it are busy, so a few things help:
- Leave the car at home for the day. The San Diego Trolley stops at the Convention Center, and rideshare is the simplest door to door. Pickup spots by the Convention Center get crowded at closing time, so walk a few blocks before you call a car.
- Driving in? Downtown parking fills early on show days. Reserve a garage space ahead if you can, and allow more time than the map says.
- At the house there is a garage for one car with an EV charger, plus free street parking.
